Description
This hands-on workshop focuses on what reference service providers need to know about government information, regardless of the type of library they work in and whether or not it is a depository library. The workshop will cover some of the most popular online information sources from the U.S. government. Topics will include
Presenter
Dena Hutto has worked with government information since 1993, the year government information first went online with the text-based Federal Register. She was documents librarian and cataloger at Penn State before coming to Oregon and Reed College in 1996, first serving as government documents librarian and currently as director of reference & instruction. Dena is a former member of the Depository Library Council to the U.S. Public Printer, and she has taught the government information course for the Emporia State University Oregon program for several years.
