Workshop description:
Are you worried about oobleck? Are new life forms evolving from the primordial soup in your refrigerator? Have you noticed more polar bears hanging around in the shade of your backyard? These, and other pressing environmental issues are plaguing our patrons…..and us. Having trouble differentiating between the ESA, an EIS and an HCP? Come spend an afternoon discussing environmental reference questions and strategies for handling them. Resources to be covered are:
There will be opportunities for participants to share their vexing questions and to share strategies and resources that they have found useful. If you have something in particular that you want to see covered, please e-mail siegelg@pdx.edu at least one week in advance of the workshop.
Presenter:
Gretta Siegel has been a librarian specializing in the natural sciences for over twenty years. Prior to being a librarian, she was a chemist/environmental toxicologist. She is currently, among other things, the Science Librarian at Portland State University.
